Hi Everyone!!! My name is (Not important) and I am currently a freshman (almost sophomore haha). All I wanted to do with this blog is to express my feelings about how my first year at high school has gone and possibly try to help other girls or guys with problems or questions that they may have for me. Now I know that I'm not the most experienced high schooler, but I am pretty good about handling tough questions and personal opinions. So here it goes....

I came from a public school, so I had school choice, I could have chosen from +7 different high schools. First I ruled out the obvious NO's and then went to a few open houses and that is what really narrowed the choices down for me. I chose to go to a private Catholic school. Now it is not a boarding school anymore so I show up to school at 7:00 and leave at 3:00 just like everybody else and just to put it out there that.......

I'M NOT CATHOLIC!!!!!!!

This school was on the top of my list because of the education, the people, teachers, and just the size of the school. it is a VERY small school but it is a close community, which was what I was going for in the long run, so that is what I chose to do. Making the first decision in the beginning of your High school experience is one of the most important that you could possibly make. I know that everyone want to go to the same school that all of your friends are going to because you will know someone on the first day, you won't be lost, and if you do end up getting lost than you will be lost WITH someone. However that is not all that is cracked up to be. The school that I decided to go to was one where I only had 3 friends. And we weren't even really friends; more like acquaintances. But, throughout the school year we because closer and I think that we are more closely friends than I was with the people that I had gone to school with since Pre-K.

Going to a new school was not all that hard for me because I have moved about 12 different times in my lifetime and they all resulted in new schools, new towns, and new people. So i guess that you could say that I had some experience with starting fresh and trying to make friends again, and again, and again.

All in all, I know that it can be scary to go to a new school not knowing anyone in your classes, but in my opinion that is just an excuse to become someone new and to reinvent yourself if you want to. High school is one of those places where you can start new and fresh without people judging you for any mistakes you've made in the past because, well, they don' know what you've done!!! So good luck with whatever you do in high school, I will be posting new information about what I did throughout high school and how it went every Saturday or Sunday because those are my only free days of the week.....
